Course Labs

  • Lab 1-0: Remote Access and Login
    • You will learn the lab topology and the method to access lab equipment remotely.
  • Lab 2-1: NetApp FAS3210A Configuration – Part 1
    • You will log in to your assigned NetApp Filer and perform basic configuration of the storage controller, install licenses, configure Fibre Channel connectivity, and create an aggregate and NFS volume for your assigned pod using NetApp System Manager.
  • Lab 3-1: Cisco Nexus 5548 Deployment – Part 1
    • This activity will focus on resetting and initializing the configuration of each of the Cisco Nexus 5548 switches. The Cisco NX-OS CLI will be used to configure interfaces, vPCs, and VLANs.
  • Lab 4-1: Cisco UCS B-Series Configuration
    • You will access both Cisco UCS Manager GUI and CLI to initialize and create a service profile template that will be used to boot your assigned blade server using ESXi 5.0.
  • Lab 5-1: Cisco Nexus 5548 Deployment – Part 2
    • This activity will focus on SAN configuration on both Nexus 5548 switches.
  • Lab 6-1: NetApp FAS3210A Configuration – Part 2
    • You will log into your assigned NetApp System Manager and configure Fibre Channel LUNs and initiator groups.
  • Lab 7-1: VMware ESXi 5.0 Configuration
    • This activity will focus on installing the ESXi 5 hypervisor onto your assigned pod server and view the installation process from the remote KVM window.
  • Lab 8-1: VMware vCenter Server Configuration
    • This activity will focus on installing vCenter Server onto your assigned VC Server and configuring your vSphere virtual infrastructure.
  • Lab 9-1: Cisco Nexus 1000V Deployment
    • This activity will focus on installing the Cisco Nexus 1000V into your virtual infrastructure. This will include installing and configuring the virtual supervisor module, uplink port groups, virtual Ethernet module, and data port groups.
