Virtualized infrastructures on NetApp Storage solutions

New at Fast Lane: "Implementing Microsoft Hyper-V on Data ONTAP" and "Implementing VMware vSphere on Data ONTAP”

Hamburg/Berlin, 23 October 2013 – The NetApp Authorized Learning Partner, Fast Lane, has expanded its training programme. The two courses Implementing Microsoft Hyper-V on Data ONTAP (IMPMSHV) and Implementing VMware vSphere on Data ONTAP (IMPVMVS) can now be booked. The courses focus on deployment of the respective virtualization solution on NetApp Data ONTAP 7-Mode and Clustered Data ONTAP.

In the course "Implementing Microsoft Hyper-V on Data ONTAP", the participants set up a Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Infrastructure on Clustered Data ONTAP. They learn how to configure physical and virtual infrastructures among other things. In addition, the Fast Lane trainers explain how to design, migrate and clone virtual machines. Hyper-V infrastructure protection as well as monitoring and optimization using PowerShell are part of the curriculum.

Further information can be found here: Implementing Microsoft Hyper-V on Data ONTAP (IMPMSHV).

The structure of the course "Implementing VMware vSphere on Data ONTAP" is similar to that of the IMPMSHV course. In addition, the participants address issues relating to best practices for connectivity, equipment, data layout and multipathing. They also discuss the effects of deduplication, compression and thin provisioning on storage in a virtual environment. Last but not least, the course instructors explain troubleshooting scenarios and measures.

Details are available at Implementing VMware vSphere on Data ONTAP (IMPVMVS).
