Course Overview

The Cisco NSO 4.2 New Features Including Python APIs1 (NSO301) course is a virtual instructor-led, lab-based, hands-on course offered by Cisco® Learning Services. The course updates learners on the new Python API features available in Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) 4.2. Also covered are other new features and changes in NSO 4.2. After the training, learners can use the self-paced lab guide and practice using the new APIs.

Prerequisites

Cisco recommends that you have the following prerequisite knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge and skills that can be obtained by attending the NSO Advanced for Python Programmers (NSO300) class or equivalent
  • Understanding of Cisco NSO components
  • Knowledge of the device manager and network element drivers
  • Knowledge of the service manager and service packages
  • Familiarity with Python

  • Describe the Python high-level and low-level APIs available in Cisco NSO 4.2
  • Use the Python APIs to implement the service mapping logic
  • Use the Python APIs to implement a Reactive Fastmap subscriber
  • Use the NFV Orchestrator (NFVO) bundle
