Course Overview

This course conveys the knowledge necessary to perform the duties of a Postgres DBA. In this introductory course you will learn the essential details of Postgres administration including architecture, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backup, recovery, and data movement. It will also introduce you to enterprise class tools for Postgres administration and will prepare you to handle real time, production environments. The course is appropriate for both the community edition of PostgreSQL and Postgres Plus Advanced Server.

This class is intended for IT Professionals who want to administer and maintain Postgres databases. It is designed for people with experience in database administration who are new to Postgres. No prior knowledge of Postgres is required to attend this class.
