Course Overview

The Cisco UCS Desisgn Workshop (UCSDW) is suitable for Data Center designers, architects and administrators who need to understand how to design and deploy a Cisco UCS solution for given Data Center requirements. UCSDW guides learners through the planning and deployment stages and evaluates the LAN and SAN connectivity requirements and sizing for common workloads.

It is recommended that the learner has the following skills before attending this course:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Data Center (CCNA Data Center) certification
  • Knowledge that is covered in the Cisco Nexus product family courses
  • Knowledge that is covered in Designing Cisco Data Center Unified Fabric (DCUFD) course
  • Knowledge that is covered in the Cisco MDS product family courses
  • Knowledge of server and desktop virtualization (for example, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware View, Citrix XenDesktop, and so on)
  • Operating system administration familiarity (for example, Linux and Windows)
